Program Overview

Since its inception in 2003, we have offered the program to those celebrating the end of cancer treatment. We work very hard to present this program to a group of amazing people, so we hope you will support us on this and continue to tell your friends and family about the program.

We Are Currently Accepting Applications for 2017

  • A $100 program fee will be required with all applications. This is a non-refundable application processing fee.  If you qualify for the program we guarantee a cottage placement.  If you do not qualify for the program your processing fee will be returned.
  • A $175.00 security deposit by way of credit card info will not be taken unless their is breakage or a problem with the cottage in which you were placed.

Please note that due to the limited number of cottages and the number of hours each coordination requires, you may be charged a $175.00 fee, if you make changes based on non-medical reasons.

We strongly encourage those currently in treatment to apply so they can get away shortly after completion of treatment. We also encourage visits in September and October when the leaves are bursting with colour and the winter months, when you can snuggle close to the fire!

We do place those deemed palliative. Palliative applicants must be fully mobile and healthy in order to enjoy their cottage stay.  If you have any questions regarding your request to visit a cottage, please call us.

Gilda’s Club Simcoe-MuskokaGilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka

Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka first opened its signature red door in May, 2010.  Thousands of men, women and children living with cancer in their lives have been part of our emotional support program.

Gilda’s Club is a free program which offers emotional and social support to those who have been affected by cancer through either their own cancer diagnosis or that of a close friend or family member. Gilda’s innovative program consists of networking, support groups, education workshops and various social activities, which are all provided free of charge.  Gilda’s Club doesn’t receive any ongoing government funding, so every dollar required to keep our cancer support community open and available comes from individuals and businesses who see why it is so important that no one faces cancer alone.™
